Does NotebookLM have an API?
As of early August 2026, Google has not published a public NotebookLM API, so its notebooks are used inside the app. kbDrop exposes every knowledge base through a streaming HTTP endpoint with knowledge-base-scoped keys, which is the difference that matters if answers need to appear in your own product.
Can I migrate my NotebookLM sources to kbDrop?
There is no direct importer. Re-add the original files—individually or as a ZIP—or point the kbDrop crawler at the public site the notebook was reading, and the material becomes a queryable kbDrop knowledge base.
When is NotebookLM the better choice?
