Terms of Service
These terms explain the rules for using kbDrop and its paid subscriptions.
Effective
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and Corbin Caldwell, the operator of kbDrop ("kbDrop," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. If you use kbDrop for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. The service
kbDrop lets you upload supported files or crawl public websites, process that material into a knowledge base, and ask questions through the website or API. Answers are generated by automated systems and include citations when the service can ground an answer in your sources.
We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not promise that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error free, and we may apply reasonable usage and technical limits.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your password, session, and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account or keys. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, and do not share an account in a way that defeats plan or security limits.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the files, website material, questions, and other content you submit ("Customer Content"). You give kbDrop a limited, non-exclusive license to host, copy, transmit, transform, and process Customer Content only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and support the service.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for kbDrop and its service providers to process Customer Content. The service is intended for material you are authorized to use as support or knowledge-base content. Do not submit payment-card data, passwords, private keys, protected health information, government identifiers, or other regulated or highly sensitive information.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use kbDrop to:
- break the law, violate another person's rights, or facilitate harm;
- upload malware or content designed to compromise a system or person;
- crawl a site without authorization or evade robots rules, access controls, rate limits, or other technical restrictions;
- probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security or usage controls except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- resell, sublicense, or provide the service to others as a competing hosted service without our written permission.
We may investigate suspected abuse and suspend or remove access when reasonably necessary to protect customers, third parties, or the service.
6. AI-generated results
Generated answers, summaries, suggested questions, transcripts, and analyses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading even when they include citations. Review the cited source and use human judgment before relying on a result. kbDrop is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, safety, or other professional advice, and you must not use an automated result as the sole basis for a high-impact decision about a person.
7. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in U.S. dollars through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically until canceled. Current prices and included storage, ingestion, answer, and concurrency limits appear on the billing page. We do not charge automatic usage overages; work may pause when a plan limit is reached.
You can manage payment methods, invoices, plan changes, and cancellation in the Stripe billing portal. Plan changes can create an immediate prorated invoice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid access through that date. Prices exclude applicable taxes.
Payments are not automatically refundable except where required by law. Refund and service-credit requests are reviewed individually. Contact us promptly if you believe a charge is incorrect.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using kbDrop at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, a material violation of these terms, a security or legal risk, or conduct that could harm the service or others. When practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
After termination, your right to use the service ends. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including payment obligations, ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.
9. kbDrop property and feedback
kbDrop and its software, design, branding, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. These terms do not transfer that ownership to you. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, but we do not acquire ownership of your Customer Content through feedback.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, kbDrop is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that generated results will be accurate or that the service will preserve every item of data. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, kbDrop and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, goodwill, use, or data. Our total liability for all claims arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to kbDrop during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes and general terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by email or in the service, before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the service. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement about your use of kbDrop.
